The author and founder of TIS (Textile Info Society), Irfan Ahmed Shaikh, gained his BSc. Textile Engineering Technology from Southern Tech, Georgia, USA (www.spsu.edu) and MSc. Textile Dyeing & Finishing from University of Leeds, England (www.leeds.ac.uk). He also holds prestigious certification of CHARTERED COLOURIST from SDC, England. He is presently working as a R&D Manager in Sapphire Fibres (www.sapphire.com.pk); his area of expertise is to explore the unknown: new products, new processes, new developments, problem solving and trouble shooting.
